About

Arcando is a bespoke shoemaker founded in Milan in 1919 by Alessio Arcando, after working as a pattern maker and cutter with master shoemakers, Marchesi and Bergamaschi, Alessio opened his own workshop on Corso Buenos Aires, handcrafting custom shoes for the royal house of Savoy and Europe's elite. In 1968 and 1969, Alessio's son, Emilio, was awarded the Oscar for best male and female footwear. Today Arcando is experiencing a renaissance, thanks to a young shoemaker who strives to continue the legacy and fill the shoes of Arcando.
